With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from The University of New Hampshire under his belt, Danny chased his dreams of playing soccer abroad in England. His passion for soccer, nurtured through high school, college, and his time with the Major League Soccer Academy Team, the New England Revolution, has allowed him to travel, experience new cultures, and connect with people through sports.

While in the U.K., Danny delved into the property development industry, finding it both enjoyable and exciting. This new venture sparked another dream in him – to own his own real estate business someday. Danny’s experiences have shaped his drive to inspire others to reach beyond their perceived capabilities, a mission he carries out through his work at City Personnel.

What’s your favorite season and why?
Winter—by just a smidge over summer. There’s nothing better than a cozy day inside watching series and movies with my family.

What’s your favorite thing about where you live?
Having lived in Cranston since I was four, I’ve had the opportunity to build meaningful connections across the state. In Rhode Island, that’s invaluable—because, as the saying goes, “You need to be known to be needed.”

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Try new things, even if they seem scary or difficult. You’ll grow more from challenges than from playing it safe.

If you could have a dinner party with three famous people, living or dead, who would you invite?
Thierry Henry, because he’s been my favorite soccer player for as long as I can remember. Leonardo da Vinci, to hear his thoughts on art, science, and the potential of the human mind. And Nelson Mandela, to learn from his incredible story and powerful legacy.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Knowing the impact we make—both in the community and on the future workforce. Helping people find employment is a privilege and deeply fulfilling.

What’s one thing that helps you stay productive at work?
Taking a quick 5–10 minute stroll helps reset my mind and keep me sharp in a fast-paced environment. A quick five-minute meditation also goes a long way—especially in a field where we constantly pivot between tasks. A healthy mindset keeps me focused and energized.

What’s a recent challenge you overcame at work?
Over time, I’ve gained a stronger understanding of the different industries we support and how their hiring needs vary. Learning how to identify what matters most on a resume for each role has improved both my confidence and performance.
